CONGRATULATIONS, GRADUATES! As we approach the end of another school year and watch as our kids grow another year older, we realize that graduations are always bittersweet for parents - whether our kids are graduating from nursery school, elementary school, high school or college, we know that the coming year will bring so many new things into our children's lives and bring us into new stages of parenting. Many moms have said that the early years are so difficult due to the physical strains and challenges of diaper changing and late night feedings, but the later years bring so many mental challenges along with discussions, questions and concern about whether we are guiding our children in the right direction. I commend all of the parents who have gotten kids through high school and college and look forward to your advice and tips to guide us newer parents through what we have to come.
Graduation is also a great time to reflect on many things in your life. Here's a great column originally published in The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, written by Regina Brett as she turned 50, celebrating the greatest lessons life had taught her.
- Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

- When in doubt, just take the next small step.
- Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
- Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
- Pay off your credit cards every month.
- You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
- Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
- It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
- Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
- When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
- 11.Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
- It's OK to let your children see you cry. <<Read More Life Lessons..>>
