The event is a fundraiser for The 100 Mile Club's Student Sponsorship Fund and will feature entertainment, games, prizes, and some very special guests! Enjoy a visit with the Chivas USA, LA Sparks, Soccer Collies and performances from the Fender Center's Kids Rock Free Band. Chivas USA will be raffling off game tickets, autographed soccer balls and autographed team jerseys! Over 70 vendors with something for everyone! About The 100 Mile Club® Kara Lubin, Founder of The 100 Mile Club, began the non-profit organization wanting to help children build confidence and become physically active by challenging them to walk/run 100 miles during a school year. What began as a small project in her classroom in 1992 has bloomed into sixty-four 100 Mile Clubs and over 15,000 participants at schools throughout Corona and Norco, across California, and is now expanding into several other states. The Mission of The 100 Mile Club is to provide to all students the opportunity to experience the powerful feeling of fitness and TRUE personal success by Accepting the Challenge of running 100 miles at school during a single school year. The 100 Mile Club invites you to take the first steps on your journey to personal success by registering for the Walk for Kids and celebrating wellness in our communities. 2010 Walk for Kids Details Walk for Kids 2010 offers unlimited miles for registered 100 Mile Club participants. All individuals will be able to participate in the Walk regardless of pledges collected, but prizes will be awarded to those who donate to The 100 Mile Club during this event. All registered walkers will receive a participation ribbon for this event. 100% of the proceeds from Walk for Kids 2010 will directly sponsor students in new and currently participating schools. Donations and pledges will help with direct project implementation through our ABBIE Memorial Student Sponsorship Fund.
